5th Grade Computer Class - Excel: Car Prices


Remember to save all work in your flash drive

·         Go to the internet and find prices for the following vehicle – In model and year of your choice

1.     Hummer

2.     Avalanche

3.     Acura MDX

4.     Honda Element

5.     Nissan

6.     Infinity QX4

7.     Lexus GX 470

8.     Porsche Cayenne

9.     Mercedes-Benz ML555

10.            BMW X5

11.            Cadillac Escalade

12.            Land Rover

13.            Toyota Sequoia

14.            Toyota Camry

15.            Smart Car

1.     Open Excel and plot in the names of the cars and prices (10 points)

2.      Make column heading - Cars in A1 and Prices in B1

3.     Find the minimum price, maximum price, and average price for all the cars (30 points)

4.     Make a column graph and put in a chart title (20 points)

5.     Go to the internet and find pictures of the cars and save in your picture folder.

6.      Convert your column graph into a picture graph (20 points)

7.      Change page orientation to Landscape (10 points)

8.      Go to page layout view and put your name on the header (10 points)

Due on Tuesday Nov 18 (5A) and Thursday Nov 20 (5B). Late submission will be penalized - 10 points off for each late day

5th Grade Excel - Texas Cities

 
Useful website -
  1. Your assignment is to create a spreadsheet of the population of 10 Texas cities.
  2. Use the map above and the internet to find your information.
  3. Open Microsoft Excel
  4. In cell A1 type - Texas Cities. In cell B1 type 2010 population and in C1 type 2011 population.
  5. Then add up the populations to find the sum of Texas population.
  6. Find the average, the minimum and maximum population.
  7. Change the page orientation to Landscape
  8. Click on Page Layout View and insert your name in the header.
  9. Create a line chart.
  10. Make sure your chart has a title
  11. Print and save work in your folder. Also save your work in your Flash Drive.
  12. Due on Thursday Nov 14 (5B) and Friday Nov 15 (5A). Late submission will be penalized - 10 points off for each late day.
