2.    Change page orientation to landscape

3.    Press the caps lock button

4.    In cell C4 type X and Center it

5th Grade Excel - Pictograph

Pictograph - Lunch Ordered
Students at WPS ordered the following lunch for the week of October 15th 2012.
Monday – 85 students ordered Pork Egg Rolls, there were 60 large portions ordered and 25 small portions.
Tuesday – 280 students ordered chicken nuggets, there were 168 large portions ordered and 112 small portions.
Wednesday – 152 students ordered pesto turkey sandwich, there were 82 large portions ordered and 70 small portions.
Thursday – 300 students ordered pizza, there were 188 large portions ordered and 112 small portions.
Friday – 130 students ordered beef taco, there were 87 large portions ordered and 43 small portions.
On excel make 5 columns with the following column heading –
· Day, Lunch, Orders, Large and small – 10pts
· Put in the data into the appropriate cell – 10pts
· Find the sum of the total orders, the large portion and the small portion – 10pts
· Find the min, max and average for the orders and portions – 30pts
· Select the lunch and order columns and make graph using the column chart. Your chart must have a title – 10pts
· Format data point of each column and insert the appropriate picture of the lunches to make a picture graph -15pts
· Go the internet and find pictures of the lunches for your columns.
· Change your orientation to landscape and type your name in the header before you print – 10pts

· Open Excel and put in the names of the cars and prices in column A and B
· Find the minimum price, maximum, average and sum of all the cars
·Make a bar graph to compare the car prices. Do not include the min,max and average.
·Change page orientation to Landscape
·Change page layout and put your name, date and title in the header.
·Due on Thursday Oct 11 for 5A and Monday Oct 15 for 5B

5th Grade Excel - Texas Cities Population

  1. Your assignment is to create a spreadsheet of the population of 10 Texas cities.
  2. Use the map above and the internet to find your information.
  3. Open Microsoft Excel
  4. In cell A1 type - Texas Cities. In cell B1 type 2010 population and in C1 type 2011 population.
  5. Then add up the populations to find the sum of Texas population.
  6. Find the average, the minimum and maximum population.
  7. Change the page orientation to Landscape
  8. Click on Page Layout View and insert your name in the header.
  9. Create a line chart.
  10. Make sure your chart has a title
  11. Print and save work in your folder. Also save your work in your Flash Drive.
  12. Due on Thursday Nov 14 (5B) and Friday (5A). Late submission will be penalized - 10 points off for each late day.
